Milling
Our machine shop utilizes Haas CNC mills from the neat and tidy "Mini Mill" with its 12" x 16" capacity all the way up to the mighty VF-4 and its 50" wide table. Tolerances are easily held ±0.0005" when milling profiles and boring. Materials like aluminum and steel being a regular occurrence; stainless steels, alloys, and titanium chips frequently fill the shop.
Turning
Lathe work is a weekly procedure in the shop. Two Haas SL series lathes, with capacity up to 2" in diameter can produce accurate high production products. Our TL series Haas lathe bridges the gap between CNC and manual, allowing quick prototype and small production of parts up to 6 inches in diameter.
Component Parts
We manufacture high-precision component parts that meet strict industry standards, ensuring reliability and performance for your applications. High production milled parts are a CNC center's bread and butter. We specialize in consistent, precise machining over thousands of repeated cuts. Turning on our lathes, or milling in our vertical centers; we inspect and guarantee accuracy within tenths of an inch, time and time again.
Custom Fabrications
Our custom fabrication services allow you to bring your designs to life, with materials and processes tailored to fit your specific project requirements. High production isn't always the job, and we get it. Custom, one off parts, are always welcome. Our design team is at your disposal to make the transition from dream to reality. 3 Sons provides and sources services like Welding, Plasma, Laser and Waterjet Cutting; as well as forming and breaking.
CAD/CAM - Fusion 360
Drawing and Rendering to Analyzing and Machining, we utilize Autodesk Fusion 360 for our CAD/CAM needs. After spending a decade using Autodesk Inventor, our programmers and design team have bridged the industry gap by pushing this universal software to its maximum potential.
